Colonie, NY - The following is a statement from Colonie Town Councilman Jeff Madden, candidate for New York State Assembly in District 110 (Colonie, Niskayuna, Guilderland, and Schenectady).
It is disgusting and obvious that politicians tried playing games to hide this from the public. We hear crickets, as usual, from Assemblyman Phil Steck who fully supported unlimited sanctuary and placing these unvetted illegal immigrants into our community against the objections of local governments and officials.
As your Assemblyman in District 110, you can count on me as your strong voice. Just as I have done as Colonie Town Councilman, I will always stand up for the safety of women and all New Yorkers.
Please join me and my family in praying for the victim and that the monster who perpetrated this heinous crime sees maximum justice.
